Adjacent to Langan Park, the Gardens encompasses a 100-acre site of cultivated gardens, woodland trails, and a longleaf pine restoration. Established in 1974 by a dedicated group of horticulturists to preserve the natural aspects of the local environment, the Gardens have grown and developed into an oasis for the community.
Dedicated to preserving native plants and to educating the community, the Mobile Botanical Gardens encompasses an extensive variety of cultivated areas and collections. A non-profit 501(c)3 organization, The Gardens holds fundraising events during the year to raise money for its ongoing operations and maintenance.
Plantasia! Spring and Fall Plant Sale
These events feature thousands of unusual and native plants selected for their beauty and ability to flourish in the Gulf Coast. Knowledgeable volunteers, many of them Master Gardeners, are available to help shoppers select the best plants for their gardens.
MBG MarketPlace
A smaller version of the Plant Sales, this is open on every Saturday morning from April throughout June. Members receive notice of special sales, so please consider joining the Gardens!
