Meet the Artist

On July 10th, we will have a special Meet the Artist event, featuring two artists and a special expert on Plumeria!
• Todd Crandall will be demonstrating his craft of whittling the “Ugly Crooked Spoon” collection. Todd uses only found wood, and uses no power tools to create his delightful wooden spoons.
• Eric Cantin will be onsite to describe details about his gorgeous cutting boards and serving boards. Eric lives in Mobile and has only been making his boards for about six months – which is a bit hard to believe after seeing them!
• Carlo Piff will be at the shop, giving a presentation on Plumerias. Carlo is a local grower of these flowering plants, and we will have some of his collection for sale.

Come visit the Mobile Botanical Gardens and join us for our new “Meet the Artist” program on select Saturdays from 10am -3pm at the Artful Garden Gift Shop! This will give you the opportunity to chat with our different featured artists one-on-one and learn more about their styles, their motivations, and their inspirations. Occasionally we will even have demonstrations!
