April 19 – June 28

MarketPlace – every Saturday from 9:00 -11:00 a.m.  Hundreds of perennials, ferns, trees, shrubs, gingers, annuals, and much more. Bought at the Spring Plant Sale and still have gaps? Want something special for a favorite spot? This is a fun and friendly place to find that perfect plant. Knowledgeable staff are on site, and new plant arrivals are listed weekly on the MarketPlace page.

May 15 Longleaf Pine Celebration.   A program presenting the extreme diversity of this unique habitat.  Includes a walkabout in MBG’s magnificent 30-acre longleaf pine forest.  Sponsored by the Alabama Urban Forestry Association and Mobile Botanical Gardens.  Lunch included.  MBG and AUFA members, $20, all others $35.
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. 
May 31 Gainesville Gallop - A trip to this lovely part of Florida includes visits to several exquisite gardens and  a fabulous butterfly house, all amidst the area’s beautiful horse country.  Shop for antiques and garden art, and for plants at wholesale nurseries. $100 deposit required to reserve place.  For more information call the office at 251-342-0555.
June 7 Hot Plants for Southern Landscapes, Part Deux with Snookie Parrish. Wondering if in August your lovely June garden will faint away? No need to pull out the spent-out annuals and replace them with more short-timers. In her continuing pursuit of the tough but lovely, Snookie brings more plant ideas for your late-summer Gulf Coast garden.  9:00 AM.  $20 for members, $25 non-members.

June 23 – 27

NatureBLAST! Children’s Summer Camp.  Nature hikes, scavenger hunts, craft projects, and basic plant science information, designed especially to install a love of outdoor adventures and an appreciation of nature.
